When Mount Trashmore first opened they had a few rock and roll bands play. My grandmother said, "I'm not going to sit on a pile of trash and listen to that stuff." I think she made a good point. |
Today was a rotten day to go walking in the park. Temperatures in the mid and low thirities, overcast, gray day.
Yes, this park was made at our trash dump. Not sure how long Mount Trashmore has been around, but the city has made ongoing improvements. It's kind of a neat place, even though it sits atop a huge pile of trash.
There are walking paths that get a lot of use, folks walking dogs and pushing kids in strollers.
This is a great place for kids with lots of different things to climb on, slide down, and crawl through. All built of course with safety in mind. Each area has the appropriate age posted. |
Not sure exactly why I added this snap. Well, the day was so gloomy, the bright yellow posts make a nice contrast. |
Rotten day? Low thirities? We dream of a day like this in Michigan! Heck, we would have shorts on!
